As I said in the past, I’ve always considered IQ Option as the main Russian binary options broker. I thought so because, according to publicly available statistics, there are mainly Russian users that connect to the website.
The total visitors is in average count up to 15 million people per month (according to statistics from May 2016) out of all those, around 4 000 000 are Russian visitors. But…
STOP to the Russian traders!
For some reason, even IQ Option decided to stop supporting Russian traders. It does not mean only that the Russian customer support or Russian language has been removed from the website of the broker, it also means a complete ban of new traders from Russian Federation.
Since I am not in Russia and don’t even have anyone in Russia who could I ask, I don’t know if this change will also affect already existing traders. Anyway, it is 100% clear that new traders from Russia are not accepted from now on.
Why has the change occurred?
According to available information, this happened due to a change in the legislation of the Russian Federation. This means that the ban might soon affect also other brokers operating in Russia.
In my opinion, this is only a temporary condition. Prohibition will definitely be canceled, but first, they need to obtain other permits, registration or regulations. It may be necessary that the Russian government better understands investments and then binary options will be allowed.
